Embedded in the marble matrix of this specimen are a couple DOZEN gemmy crystals of dark pink spinel! Some are large compound crystals with parallel faces, measuring up to 1.5 cm across. Others are single, euhedral crystals (to about 1.3 cm). What a rich specimen of a wonderful gem species! 10.6 x 8.1 x 5.4cm
