WOW! THIS is not only a significant German proustite, but it is one with some color and display qualities to boot! This radiating fanspray cluster is complete all around and has just minor damage that is frankly not unexpected given the age and softness of the mineral; and at the same time trivial in context. It has crystals to a whopping 3 cm in height! Marienberg proustites are among the rarest of the German proustite localities, and this carries a premium to some extent, but this would be a good piece from ANY German locality, in any case. It was in fact In a museum, as you will note the oldstyle wax-and-wood pedestal characteristic specimens out of a number of East European museums from the 1800's. It was sold to a collector the last time around in 1979 by Larry Conklin and this is the first time since that it has been offered for public sale. 4.2 x 3.0 x 2.6 cm
