A CLASSIC, OLD-TIME specimen of two-toned, oil-green mimetite barrels spindles richly covering quartz matrix from the famous Dry Gill Mine, Caldbeck Fells, England. The famous lead mines at Caldbeck Fells were worked out by 1876, so this fine piece is easily over 130 years old! Primary production was from the 1840s-60s. Ex Steven Chamberlain and Hamilton College Collections.
