This is a dramatic parallel grouping of elongate pyramidal Sulfur crystals from Michigan. Although Italian Sulfur specimens take the limelight for the species, the limestone quarries of Michigan have produced fantastic Sulfur specimens at a fraction of the cost of the Italian ones and this piece is a prime Michigan example! One large and several smaller, bright, translucent yellow, elongate Sulfur crystals are in parallel growth arrangement with sharp, tapered terminations in this fine example from the quarries at Maybe, Michigan. Ex. Robert Nowakowski collection with label. Superb, for the locality!
