From the Tsumeb Mine comes this calcite specimen, composed of lustrous rhombs to 1.5 cm across. They are aesthetically infused with pink-red inclusions of finely disseminated hematite. This is unusual for the locality, different from the normal hematite-included calcite from Tsumeb, which is brick red. Jack has his collection number 1009 on this, and bought it in the early 1980s from well-known Tsumeb dealer Prosper Williams, whose label is included. Ex. Jack Halpern Collection.
