This is a relatively thin shard of matrix that is covered all over on both sides with pyromorphite crystals, and it has an extremely unique look to it. The crystals grew parallel to the faces of the matrix, in branching, dendritic patterns; looking almost like trees. Typically, of course, the crystals grow pretty much straight up from the matrix, with a chunky, barrel-like form.
