This fine locality nugget is 20 grams. It is so-called sponge gold, a mass of microcrystalline gold that is neither well-crystallized nor a pure nugget, but looks nugget-like at first glance. It is an old Brazilian specimen mined in 1978, and comes from the well-known, late dealer Carlos Barbosa.
