Vanadinite
A very rare old vanadinite from one of the oldest localities for giant crystals of this species, Abenab in former Southwest Africa. This is a huge hoppered crystal, complete all around, that has a brown-red color inside. As is typical for the locality, there is a yellow-brown coating of descloizite and/or mimetite mixed in microscopic crystals, atop. Pieces of this size are very uncommon on the market today! It was acquired from Pala Properties by Ed Ruggiero in 1977.
