The Yaogangxian has been a prolific mine, and quartz is a common accessory mineral on the specimens from there. But it is very rare to see a complete, doubly-terminated crystal of this SIZE from the mine. On the backside is a druse consisting partly of pyrite and partly of a later generation of orangey micro quartz.
