A CLASSIC and very showy Mexican specimen from the famous San Francisco Mine. Water-clear windowpanes of yellow, tabular wulfenites to 1.2 cm are nicely set on mounded matrix, which is richly covered with orange, botryoidal mimetite. This is certainly one of the most desirable Mexican combination pieces. The rich, orange mimetite color leads me to believe, that this is an older piece from the 1960s or 70s. The corner of the large crystal is missing and there is a broken crystal in front of it, but this is an excellent and highly representative specimen of these two species. Ex. John Ydren Collection.
