These wulfenites created quite a stir when they came out because of their lustrous crystals and deep red color (see Mineralogical Record, Vol. 38 No. 1). This piece, although it has damage like almost all the material from this find, has a ridge and a couple of other areas with such lustrous crystals. And most of the material from this locality has very small crystals; this piece has crystals to 8 mm.
