An old piece, this is the classic green-on-pink crystal style scepter which this mine is so justifiably famous for. The translucent, lustrous, forest green second-growth Tourmaline surrounds an interior composed of an etched, pink stalk. The lower portion of the outer, green rind has been removed in nature, thus creating the 'scepter' appearance. This 43 gram crystal is gemmy to translucent, and the striations on the faces add beauty and interest. The dramatic habit is starkly different from other Tourmaline finds and so immediately recognizable as being from this mine (generally early 1980s, I was told). Fine aesthetics. Remarkably, no repairs! The crystal is actually mine-run, just the way it came out, without any fancy modern cleaning done (there is minute pocket clay still in some crevasses).
