Outstanding, very large, asymmetric bowtie of Heulandite from the trap rock quarries in India. The core is white, with the extremities more of a flesh color (more evident in person, where the subtleties can be seen with the human eye). The Heulandite ranges from translucent to almost gemmy on the edges, and the luster is good. This particular habit for Heulandite is quite uncommon. Attached to the larger Heulandite is a smaller, more standard crystal that is 2 cm long. It is a brilliant, pearly white - absolutely classic for the species. When oriented horizontally, this specimen looks like a large bowtie. Vertically, it looks for all the world like a fanned turkey tail. Either way, this is an impressive specimen and a huge crystal for the species.
