This large specimen hosts veins of flat, embedded Lazurite crystals that wind through a calcareous, metamorphic matrix. The encased Lazurites are tabular to fully-formed, and appear to have been somewhat altered themselves. The largest is 1.5 cm across. The calcareous matrix fluoresces a range of colors, most notably royal blue and bright yellow. This is from one of the few localities in all of Europe that produces Lazurite. A fine locality piece. Ex Monnacino and Palumbo collections, obtained 1968.
