If you have been lucky enough to be a "friend of Ray" who has mined at the Blanchard, you will know that these are the true rare prizes people hope to find there, but rarely do (the fluorites are much better known, of course). Crystallized linarites are rare from anywhere. This one, as is often the case, features the intense blue acicular crystals on a euhedral galena crystal (actually, on a layer of cerussite that formed on the surface of the galena). Nicely framed by quartz crystals.
