A classic example of the relatively rare gemmy Calcite with Manganite phantoms from the Wessels Mine. The luster is superb, and the Calcite is perfectly gemmy save for the well-defined phantom. One end is well-terminated, while the other has been cleaved, probably from contact. The phantom is very sharp and it is also a real plus to find one so nicely set on matrix. A very good specimen.
