This super glassy, doubly terminated, 8cm-tall Quartz crystal is included with abundant "hematite dust" that gives the specimen an incredible fiery red-orange color and results in the extreme desirability of these pieces among collectors. Hematite is abundant throughout much of the crystal; however, there are small windows that lack inclusions where you can see right into the translucent to transparent Quartz crystal! One end displays a lustrous, perfect termination whereas the other end is almost complete save the area where it was separated from the host matrix. The prism faces are bright with some smooth areas and other areas display complex geometric forms during growth for added artistic texture. These crystals are like no other Quartz from anywhere and this is an excellent example! Ex. Shields Flynn collection.
