A fine lazulite miniature with glassy, large crystals. Perched nicely on an ocherous matrix are highly lustrous and partially translucent, dark blue, lazulite crystals, to1 cm across. When backlit strongly the crystals exhibit a rich sky blue color. This is as fine a small miniature as we have seen. ex Rod Tyson collection.
