A Bisbee Mine calcite is a rare treasure because for some reason, other than a few pockets and finds, we simply did not see many recovered over more than 100 years of treasure here. This is unusual in that it is not the usual platy growths but instead is a sharp transparent, totally gem quality, scalenohedral crystal. Displayed at the Richard W. Graeme III Tribute exhibit at the 2022 Tucson Gem and Mineral Show, February 10-13, 2022, it is a rare locality piece for any Arizona or calcite collector.
