Iceland is one of the great old classic locales for zeolites, and many were first found here in good crystals long before Indian zeolites came to market. This is a superb, beautiful and very aesthetic cluster of pearlescent stilbite bowties and isolated crystals from the most famous Iceland zeolite locality - Teigarhorn. The large bowtie is 5.0 cm. This pristine specimen is from the Don Boydston Collection and is accompanied by two older labels. The Filers label dates from 1949-56. Classic, old-time material and very rarely available in this quality.
