A fine, fan-like cluster of lustrous, royal-blue cavansite blades set on basalt matrix covered with tiny, lustrous stilbite blades from the Wagholi Quarry of India. This is a superb miniature for its own aesthetics and for the crystallography shown: Bladed cavansite of this variety is far less common, than the cavansite balls. These are, also, large blades. About 1 in 1000 cavansites might have this more rare form showing textbook crystallography, as opposed to the radial spherical clusters you normally see.
