Fluorite on Calcite

This is from a very special, small pocket found in early 2011 from which I only know of a few specimens. The crystals are GEMS and so sharp and clean they look like topaz (one was actually thought to be topaz in China!). The gem fluorites are set off upon a sharp white calcite rhombohedron for amazing contrast. In person, however, they are much brighter and more sparkling. The faces are so reflective and the light bounces around inside the crystals in the camera's eye, so it is hard to capture both the brilliant luster and the depth and geometry at the same time. The calcite has a very small ding or perhaps contact at the tip, but this is really trivial in context. The fluorites atop are amazing and glitter like jewels when directly lit.
