Most people do not realize that, rarely, Brazil has produced cassiterites from its pegmatites that rival cassiterite from anywhere for sheer luster and brightness. These crystals, to 1 cm, are superb jewels for the species which is rarely seen from Brazil. They are brightly contrasted on albite matrix, with bits of lepidolite and minute tourmaline associated. Rare.
