A rare classic copper specimen, like seen in old books on Broken Hill minerals! Three, exquisite, well-formed, spinel-twinned copper crystals to 3.2 cm in length are connected by dendritic growth at their base. The crystals exhibit a dark copper color and a matte luster. Superb in every way, it is a toenail or small miniature of competitive quality, with rarity points for the old locality. These are old - some as far back as the late 1800s, but mined into the early 1900s as well. Ex Roland Sherman's very well known competitive copper species suite of thumbnails and toenails, sold off some years ago.
