Calcite
This calcite specimen is from a small, one-time find in the famous Brevik Mine, from about 2010. So far as I know, I bought the majority of the good pieces from the collector at the time. Although this looks like a stalactite at first, it is in fact a vertical aggregate of intergrown crystals, and not a true stalactite growth. These specimens have gorgeous ?Baltic amber? color and are totally translucent when even slightly backlit.
