This is a stunning morganite specimen. The crystal is a real gem, transparent as you could ask for, with a wonderful pink color to it. But what is really interesting about the specimen is the way this gorgeous crystal is sandwiched between matrix and a shard of quartz. Its faces are sharp and perfect, and very lustrous; there is no damage on this crystal at all. The crystal itself measures 3.4 cm across. Ex. Wayne Thompson Collection.
