Sharp clusters of fine Calcite from the Tsumeb Mine are absolutely classic but few have such clarity and stark shape. This striking specimen features multiple, en echelon rhombs that are sharp, highly lustrous and glassy. The gemmy crystals, the largest of which is 2.7 cm on edge, are tinted a slight tan. The condition of the piece is excellent. The color is so uniform that getting good definition in the photos was difficult. However, the red fluorescence is excellent, and that pic really popped. It shows the crystal definition quite well. Easily an order of magnitude better in person than the pics. A fine and classic piece from the collection of longtime dealer Rob Smith
