A striking, double calcite twin from Santa Eulalia, Mexico. The sharply terminated, twinned crystal has two distinctively different generations of hematite inclusions. The earlier generation is much darker, more hematite-rich. The second generation of calcite has lower hematite content and a lovely, golden-amber color. Both calcite varietals are highly lustrous and translucent. Ex. Gerald Kloc and Dr. Ed David Collections.
