Aesthetically centered and perched on white feldspar matrix are intense blue aquas highlighted by a large 3.5-cm crystal with exceptionally glassy luster and gemmy termination. Framing the aquas are several splendent, black schorl crystals to .7 cm. Very tiny chips on the terminal edges detract only minimally from this elegant specimen, which is a very dramatic, space-filling miniature. Such a robust crystal sitting nicely on matrix is difficult to get in this size range, in fact.
