Bright, lustrous, yellow, cadmium- rich, hemimorphite has formed a complete crust, with crystals clusters to .7 cm across. This deposit is best known for this species including the famous, huge plate in the Carnegie Museum which displays cadmium- rich hemimorphite after calcite. The material was found in the late 1800s and early 1900s, mostly prior to WWI, and is very RARE. This particular specimen exhibits unusual luster and sparkles as if you had dropped glitter on it! It has intense color and luster!
