A rarity among Pakistani minerals, and one of the few gemmy things from here that is not a "gem crystal" per se: This is a rare and large crystal of the phosphate Lazulite (not to be confused with Lazurite), from a remarkable species-best find ever for this species in 1998-1999. The Lazulite is gemmy to translucent, with a fascinating color mix of blue and yellow. It is a very displayable piece and LOOKS like it should cost a lot more than it does here, based on the prices I have seen on the few remaining crystals available these days. This is a remnant form the old inventory of dealer Herb Obodda, who brought much of it out to the US market at the time.
