An old Illinois calcite specimen that was in the collection of the Seaman Museum, and sold at auction in 2002. Look at the bizarre sheaf-like form of the crystals (actually, just ripples on the faces). Other than some tiny bruises, damage is limited to the periphery, where the specimen was removed from the pocket. 10.9 x 7.2 x 5.7cm
