This is a thin crust of calcite that formed on the surface of another rock. You can see the contour of the rock surface on the back side of the specimen, and the front (exposed) side crystallized beautifully, into glittering, snowy rhombs (much flashier in person!). 9.2 x 6.8 x 1.6cm
