A gorgeous, 1.7 x 1.7 cm, purple spinel crystal set on contrasting marble matrix from Luc Yen, Vietnam. This gemmy, with waxy luster beauty has textbook octahedral crystal form. Purple spinels are much less common than red spinels from this locale.
