Classic Mexican specimen with velvety flu crystallized rosasite throughout this matrix. Richly crystallized and in very good condition. The specimen comes with a previous label from the collection of Ray DeMark. Ray acquired this piece while in Mapimi in 1974.The Ojuela Mine, located near Mapimi in Durango, Mexico, was originally opened by Spanish prospectors in 1598 and experienced periods of intense extraction until its final major closure around 1932 due to exhausted reserves and water issues.
