This 2.17 gram natural, unheated Tanzanite is an absolute gem—and the pleochroism is ridiculous. Depending on the angle and lighting, this beauty transforms from an electric saturated blue into gorgeous violet-purple tones, with flashes of greenish-gold showing through from another direction.

That dramatic color shift is one of the things I love most about natural Tanzanite. Before heat treatment, these crystals can retain their incredible natural pleochroic character, revealing completely different personalities as you rotate them in the light.

Add in the glassy transparency, sharp natural form and beautiful double-crystal composition, and this little Tanzanite absolutely punches above its weight.
