Crystallized completely all around.Santa Clara del Cobre, located in the municipality of Salvador Escalante in Michoacan, Mexico, is a historic town renowned for its centuries-old tradition of copper working dating back to pre-Hispanic Tarascan times and expanding significantly during the Spanish colonial era after the 16th-century arrival of Vasco de Quiroga. Geologically, the region is situated within the Trans-Mexican Volcanic Belt, where extensive volcanic activity and hydrothermal processes created regional copper-bearing deposits. While the town is famous today for its artisan hammer-formed copper craft rather than active large-scale mining, the local metallurgical heritage reflects the presence of copper mineralization in the surrounding volcanic terrain, historically yielding native copper and related mineral occurrences associated with local rock formations.
