Excellent example for the species from the early 1990s. Bright lustrous crystals of muscovite to 5.0 cm in size in a cluster with minor albite. This is in good condition all around. The Ze Pinto claim, also known as the Aldeia do Eme mine, is located near Aldeia in the municipality of Cuparaque, Minas Gerais, Brazil. Geologically, it is a complex granitic pegmatite situated within the renowned Eastern Brazilian Pegmatite Province, characterized by volatile rich pockets that allowed for the growth of exceptional crystallized specimens. Mineralogically, the prospect is most famous for producing world class, silvery pink pseudohexagonal rosettes of muscovite beautifully associated with dark green fluorapatite crystals, along with schorl tourmaline, quartz, and albite. Historically, the locality gained international prominence among collectors following a major discovery around 1989, which yielded a significant quantity of high quality muscovite and apatite specimens that remain highly prized on the mineral market today.
