Unusual locality example, crystallized colorless halite cross matrix with bluish green inclusions of chalcanthite. In good condition. The Pcheloyad deposit, located within the Zvezdel-Pcheloyad ore field in the Eastern Rhodopes of southern Bulgaria near Krumovgrad and Kardzhali, is situated in a rugged region shaped by complex Paleogene volcanic and tectonic activity. Geologically, the area is hosted by a combination of basalt-andesite and dacite-rhyolite complex formations, alongside deep-seated intrusive rocks and local skarn zones. Mineralogically, it is best known for medium- to low-temperature polymetallic mineralization containing abundant sphalerite, galena, and notable occurrences of pyromorphite. Historically developed as a lead and zinc mining target during the late 20th century, the mine and its surrounding sections have since gained significant recognition among mineralogists for their diverse vein systems and rare mineral assemblages.
