This is a sharp, gemmy, textbook Burmese Topaz crystal with well-defined faces and good edges, not rolled around in a bag of rough material coming off the mountain - as so many in this size are. In the photos, you can see that the edges vary from straight and sharp to modified with an en echelon pattern. Against a white surface, and in just the right photo, you can detect a hint of the palest sherry color. There is some minor rubbing and a trace of chatter on the edges but no real damage of note, and any significant contacting is along the bottom adjacent to the basal cleave. A very good, classic Burmese Topaz crystal with a complex termination and a mass of 63 grams. Ex. William (Bill) Larson collection, from finds of the late 1990s. Hard to photograph, and MUCH better in person.
