Excellent, 5.7 cm, cubic crystal of the classic Midwest Galena finds from the 1970s-80s, with high metallic luster and silvery-grey color. This fine and impressive single grew on an earlier generation of half-centimeter, complex Galenas, and all rest on a plate of original matrix decorated by lustrous, and iridescent, micro Chalcopyrite crystals. While a huge quantity came out, this has a high level of aesthetics, quality, luster, and balance that most simply never attained, putting it in a rarified category worthy of higher level collections. This is a sculptural and significant cluster dominated by the one large Galena, which displays so aesthetically. From the Al and Sue Liebetrau collection.
