The Kolwezi District in the DRC is host to some of the world’s finest copper mineralization. A star for the locality is the sharp and gemmy deep red cuprites that rank among the world’s best. This example is very aesthetic, with sharp cuprite crystals and minor malachite. A textbook combo for the locale. Displays fantastic from nearly any angle (a floater) and glows with even minor backlighting *see other photo. A fantastic specimen!
