Cobaltoan calcite specimens from the Democratic Republic of Congo are famous among collectors as some of the world’s most beautiful and unusual calcite crystals. This is a very fine example from the Mashamba West Mine featuring sharp, lustrous, pink calcite crystals associated with vibrant green kolwezite or malachite. The association of bright pink and green is very aesthetic, and this is an excellent classic from a now highly desirable locality.
