An important and large Kentbrooksite specimen from Lepkhe-Nel'm Mt in Russia, which is quite different from the more typical locality for specimens in the Khibiny Massif. Kentbrooksite is a rare complex sodium-calcium-rare earth-manganese-iron-zirconium-niobium (trash can!) silicate and the Type Locality is actually in Greenland. The top surface of the piece is very geometric showing numerous flattened, polygonal, muted pink crystals from 5 mm to 2.2 cm; and is quite attractive for such an unusual rarity. This is a competitive-level specimen at the top of what is possible for the species in both size and elegance. The bottom shows somewhat brighter pink, granular massive Kentbrooksite with some minor Aegirine. Kentbrooksite is a moderately rare member of the Eudialyte Group. This particular piece was displayed at the Munich Show in Paul's exhibitions over the years. Ex. Paul Stahl collection - 28983.
