A well-formed and rather large bismuth crystal from this productive tungsten-molybdenum-bismuth deposit in Queensland, Australia. Specimens of bismuth and molybdenite started appearing from here starting in the 1960s, though seldom sharp or well preserved for collectors like this one. This is a rare and exceptional, complex, tabular crystal almost two inches in size and displays coarse striations on every face. It is surprisingly heavy in the hand due to its high mass. Most pieces are fragments or cleavages, but this is a rare specimen with crystalline faces and nice geometry. Excellent for the species!
