Transparent and well-formed, razor-sharp, doubly-terminated Quartz crystal with thin fibrous hairs of light green Byssolite both included and extending outside the crystal. The flattened tabular crystal is an absolute jewel with a single termination on one end and a splitting into parallel growth with two terminations on the opposite end. There is an impression contact on the back that provides interesting geometric features as seen from the front display through the crystal. The fine millimeter sized inclusions of the Amphibole Group var. Byssolite occur as needle like sprays and single crystals throughout the Quartz specimen. The most notable feature is the 2.8 cm long Faden line that runs vertically from one end to the other where it does line up with the exposure of hair like Byssolite. A wonderful transparent water clear DT Quartz specimen from Italy with a number of added features from inclusions to a Faden that accentuates the interest and desirability of this beautiful piece. Ex. William (Bill) Larson Quartz Collection. This collection was built since the 1980s and on exhibit for decades in his jewelry and mineral store in Fallbrook, California.
