A dramatic piece with a single dominant ruby crystal standing dramatically on white marble matrix: EXCELLENT, 2.5 cm cluster of lustrous, red Ruby crystals from the famous locality of Luc Yen, Vietnam. The largest crystal within this grouping is also 2.5 cm, and the Rubies are mostly translucent. Where the crystals become more gemmy, the red color becomes even deeper and richer. In classic fashion, the fluorescence is an exceedingly intense orange-red. The contrasts in form and color between the Rubies and the white marble matrix are dramatic, and create a beautiful, visual aesthetic that makes this a great example for this well-known mine. Better in person.
