Dimensions: 4 x 1.6 x 4 cm Location: Ahmednagar District, Nashik Division, Maharashtra, India An extraordinary pocket of Apophyllite was discovered at the end of 2023. The crystals possess a luminosity and brilliance never before seen; as soon as the specimens are illuminated, the light is reflected brilliantly, the white stilbite matrix adding contrast to this mirror-like effect. These microcrystals form very aesthetically pleasing spheres with perfect crystallization. Their appearance reminds me of certain Rhodochrosites from South Africa (typically "the N'Chwanning snail") which have this density of color and incomparable luster. The composition of the whole, with its white stilbite crystals, is very aesthetic and original. The Apophyllite crystal measures 1.5 cm, the Stilbite 4 cm. A large thumbnail, or small miniature, quite extraordinary in its aesthetics and the composition of this association. Dimensions without the acrylic base, which is supplied with the mineralogical specimen. The mineral is not glued to the base (flexible sealant).
