This miniature crystallized Native Copper comes from a less well-known locality in Nevada - Mountain City mine. Although small, it is richly crystallized with a 'nest' of well-formed spinel-twinned elongated Native Copper crystals. Under magnification these crystals look superb and we don't often get specimens available from there. Indeed, there is very little information available on specimens from there, but a small find of Native Copper was reported in 1996-1997 and perhaps this piece relates to that discovery. Ex David Hardman Collection.
