Perhaps not as gemmy, or bright as some Calcite crystals from the famous Tsumeb mine, this charming 'floater' crystal is a real peculiarity. Terminated at both ends, this 6.5 cm long specimen is not strictly speaking one crystal, but an elongated aggregate of crystals, but it is certainly funky. The two grey-white translucent end crystals are joined centrally by a brown, rippled, stepped transition. Both tips are in fine, undamaged condition, with three-sided 'pyramidal' terminations. Ex Kessler Collection.
